Getting Started

The basics of Brandfolio and how to get up and running.

Brandfolio is the Brand Operating System for the AI Era. It transforms your brand identity into machine-readable data so any tool, AI or not, can create on-brand content every time. Think of it as a centralized hub for your brand guidelines that any system can query on demand.

Brandfolio is built for enterprises, agencies, and teams who use AI tools for content creation and need to maintain brand consistency at scale. Whether you use Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or any other AI-enabled tool, Brandfolio ensures they all speak your brand language.

You have two options:

Import from your website: paste your URL and our AI automatically extracts your brand identity (colors, typography, logo, personality).
Create from scratch: follow our guided 5-step onboarding to define everything manually.

The onboarding is designed to be completed in under 5 minutes. If you import from your website, it can be even faster since most information is pre-populated automatically.

No. You can experience the full onboarding and see your brand come to life before creating an account. Signup is only required at the final step, when you want to save your brand and generate your MCP (Model Context Protocol) server.

Brand Setup & Editing

Everything about creating, importing, and customizing your brand.

When you enter your website URL, our AI analyzes your site and extracts:

Brand name and description
Color palette (up to 5 primary colors)
Typography (heading and body fonts)
Logo
Brand personality and tagline

You can then review and adjust everything before finalizing.

Absolutely. Your brand dashboard gives you full control to edit every aspect at any time — colors, typography, logo, voice, identity, and more. All changes are saved automatically and propagated to connected tools in real-time.

Go to Dashboard → Brand → Colors. You can modify your color palette using the visual editor. Changes are saved automatically.

Go to Dashboard → Brand → Typography. Choose from Google Fonts, upload custom fonts, or select from presets. A live preview shows how your fonts look in context.

Go to Dashboard → Brand → Logo. You can upload your own logo files or use our AI logo generation feature. Multiple logo variants are supported (primary, icon, wordmark, etc.).

Brand voice defines how your brand communicates: its tone, style, and personality. Go to Dashboard → Brand → Persona to configure it. You can select from presets or write custom examples that represent your brand's communication style.

Yes. Brandfolio uses auto-save — every change you make is saved instantly in the background. No need to click a “Save” button. Your MCP server is also updated in real-time so every connected tool always gets the latest version.

MCP & AI Integration

Connect your brand to AI tools via MCP (Model Context Protocol).

MCP is an open standard that allows AI tools to access external data sources in real-time. Brandfolio uses MCP to make your brand guidelines available to any compatible tool, so it can create content that is always on-brand. Learn more on our MCP page.

Go to Dashboard → Connectors. You'll find your MCP URL and one-click setup instructions for each supported tool. Most tools can be configured in under a minute. For a detailed step-by-step guide, see our MCP Server Setup Guide.

Yes, instantly. Any change you make to your brand is immediately reflected in your MCP server. Connected tools always get the latest version — no manual action required.

Both. In Dashboard → Connectors you can choose between:

"This Brand": a brand-specific MCP URL that only exposes one brand's data.
"All My Brands": a user-level MCP URL that gives the connected tool access to all your brands.

Assets

Upload, organize, and manage your brand assets.

Go to Dashboard → Assets. Click "Upload" to add files individually or use batch upload for multiple files at once. Our AI automatically categorizes your assets.

Brandfolio supports common image formats (PNG, JPG, SVG, WebP), PDF documents, and other brand asset files.

When you upload assets, our AI analyzes each file and automatically assigns it to the most relevant category (logo, icon, photo, illustration, etc.). You can always recategorize manually if needed.

Team & Collaboration

Invite members, manage roles, and collaborate on brands.

Go to Dashboard → Members. You can invite team members by email. They'll receive an invitation link to join your team.

Brandfolio has three roles:

Owner: full access, billing, can delete brand.
Admin: can edit brand and manage members.
Member: can view and use brand data.

Team collaboration requires the Studio plan ($99/month) or Enterprise plan. The free Starter plan is limited to a single user.

Yes. Admins and Owners can edit the brand simultaneously. Changes are saved automatically and visible to all team members.

Plans & Billing

Pricing, credits, and payment management.

Starter (Free): 1 brand, 1 user, basic features.
Studio ($99/month): up to 5 brands, 10 team members, advanced features.
Enterprise (custom pricing): unlimited brands and members, priority support, custom integrations.

Credits are used for AI-powered features like logo generation, content suggestions, and website extraction. Each action costs between 1 and 5 credits. Studio plans include a monthly credit allotment. You can also purchase additional credit packs from Dashboard → Billing:

Basic: 100 credits — $9
Plus: 300 credits — $25
Pro: 1,000 credits — $39 (best value)

Purchased credits are conservable for 1 year from purchase date. See the credit costs table for a detailed breakdown per action.

Go to Dashboard → Billing. You'll see a plan comparison and can upgrade with one click. Billing is handled securely through Paddle.

Dashboard → Billing gives you access to your current plan, payment methods, invoices, and credit balance. You can update payment methods or download invoices at any time.

Yes. The billing page offers a monthly/annual toggle. Annual billing gives you a discount compared to paying monthly.

Account & Security

Profile settings, sessions, and data security.

Go to Dashboard → Account. You can update your password from your profile settings.

Yes. Brandfolio uses industry-standard security practices including OAuth 2.1 for MCP authentication, encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), and secure token management. Your brand data is only accessible to authorized team members and connected tools.

Go to Dashboard → Account → Activity to view and manage your active sessions.

Yes. Contact our support team and we will process your account deletion. All your brand data, assets, and MCP servers will be permanently removed.

Troubleshooting

Common issues and how to resolve them.

Make sure you've added the server configuration to your IDE settings and restarted the IDE. Check Dashboard → Connectors for the correct setup instructions for your specific tool. For a step-by-step guide, see the MCP Server Setup Guide.

Verify that your MCP URL is correctly copied. Go to Dashboard → Connectors to get a fresh URL. Make sure you're using the complete URL including the authentication parameters.

Changes should be reflected immediately. Try the following:

Refresh the MCP connection in your tool.
Verify your MCP URL is correct in Dashboard → Connectors.
Restart your IDE or tool.

Your MCP URL is always available in Dashboard → Connectors. You can copy the URL for any supported tool at any time.

Make sure your file is in a supported format (PNG, JPG, SVG, or WebP) and doesn’t exceed the maximum file size. If AI generation fails, try again with a different prompt or check your credit balance.

Website import works best with sites that have clear branding (visible logo, consistent colors, defined fonts). If the extraction missed something, you can manually adjust every field in the brand editor. The imported data is a starting point — not final.
